Bay Area Band
The Blind formed in 2006 in the San Francisco East Bay Area. The band is comprised of four members including Klaus Larson (guitar, vocals), Derek Jones (guitar), Sam Larson (bass), and Ricky Ybarra (drums, backing vocals). With frequent releases of new studio recordings and their high-energy live shows they have attracted a local following.
Derek Jones and Sam Larson (Guitarsit and Bassist) from the bay area band,
If you were to combine the sound and atmospher of Pink Floyd and Radiohead along with the pop sensibiliy of The Police, The Shins and The Beatles, you would have a good desciption of The Blind. This bay area band plays a unique strain of progressive pop marked with an intense dynamics of subtle melody and harmony.
In November of 2007, The Blind released their first EP “Of Kings and Cannons”. They have since released a number of studio singles.
